Walter And Elise Haas Fund is an independent non-profit foundation based in San Francisco, California. Established in 1952 by Mr. Walter A. Haas, Sr. and his wife, Mrs. Elise Stern Haas, the mission of the foundation is to help build a healthy, just, and vibrant society in which people feel connected to and responsible for their community. The areas of focus of the foundation are the arts and culture, economic security, Jewish life, and public education. The assets are managed by the board of trustees.
