University of Georgia Foundation manages an endowment fund which is based in Athens, Georgia. Established in 1937, the foundation uses the endowment fund to support the teaching, research, public service, and outreach programs of the university. The earnings from endowment investments support scholarships, chairs, professorships, fellowships, basic research, as well as academic and public service programs. The assets of the endowment are managed by the executive team.
