Trust for Mutual Understanding

Trust for Mutual Understanding (TMU) is an independent non-profit foundation based in New York City, New York. Established in 1984, the foundation supports U.S. non-profits that organize cultural and environmental exchanges with partners in Russia and Central/Eastern Europe. It was founded by an anonymous American to promote understanding and cooperation across these regions. The assets are managed by the board of trustees.
