The Upstate Foundation

The Upstate Foundation manages an endowment fund based in Syracuse, New York. Established in 1976, the endowment was formed to receive and administer gifts and bequests exclusively for charitable purposes with a focus on the provision of patient health care, the education of health care providers, community health and well-being, and scientific research. The distributions shall, in particular, be oriented toward the support of those activities conducted by Upstate Medical University. The earnings from endowment investments support scholarships, chairs, professorships, fellowships, basic research, as well as academic and public service programs. The assets are managed by the executive management team.
