The Scripps Research Institute Cash Balance Retirement Plan is a single-employer noncontributory defined benefit corporate pension fund based in La Jolla, California. Established in 1994, the plan provides retirement, death, and disability benefits to the employees of The Scripps Research Institute, who are not eligible for The Scripps Research Institute Faculty and Management Retirement Plan and who are not leased employees, workers reclassified as employees, or employees in various excluded job categories.
