The Scottish National Investment Bank is a direct investment firm based in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Established in 2020, the firm is an impact investor providing patient capital to businesses and projects in Scotland in the areas of decarbonization, innovation, and the built environment. Investments range between £1 million and £50 million across the capital structure; debt, CLN & equity (direct equity & fund investments) to support commercial opportunities with strong impact credentials. The bank has a vision to develop a fairer, more sustainable economy and to crowd in additional capital to support the delivery of our missions. Committed capital as of January 2024 exceeds £500 million, crowding in a further £750 million, making a total of £ 1.2 billion into the Scottish economy. The assets are managed by the executive management team.
