The Police & Fire Retirement System of the City of Detroit

Detroit Police & Fire Retirement System is a public pension fund based in Detroit, Michigan. Established in 1941, the operations of the retirement system are governed by the provisions of any applicable Federal law, the State Constitution, State Statutes, the City Charter, City Ordinances, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and continuing board policies, procedures, and regulations. The Retirement System invests all available funds to maximize both current income and long-term appreciation. The primary objective of the System's investment policy is to ensure that the system meets its responsibilities for providing all benefits. The assets of the fund are managed by the executive management team.
