The Heinz Endowments

The Heinz Endowments is an independent non-profit foundation based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Established in 1986, the foundation originated from the Howard Heinz Endowment (1941) and the Vira I. Heinz Endowment (1986). Its mission is to use the southwestern Pennsylvania region as a testing ground for solutions to nationally significant challenges. Key focus areas include arts and culture, children and families, community and economic development, education, and environment. The assets are managed by the executive management team.
