The Council of Independent Colleges

The Council of Independent Colleges is a non-profit foundation based in Washington, District of Columbia. Established in 1956, the foundation is an association of more than six hundred forty and five non-profit independent colleges and universities and ninety higher education organizations that has worked to support college and university leadership, advance institutional excellence and enhance public understanding of private higher education's contributions to society. The assets of the foundation are managed by the Board of Directors.
