State of Michigan Retirement Systems

State of Michigan Retirement Systems (SMRS) is a public pension based in East Lansing, Michigan. The Office of Retirement Services administers retirement programs for Michigan's state employees, public school employees, judges, state police, and the National Guard. Within these systems, ORS administers four defined benefit pension plans, two defined contribution pension plans, and one defined benefit plus a defined contribution plan. The assets of the pension fund are governed by the retirement board members.
