Smithsonian Institution

Smithsonian Institution manages an endowment fund which is based in Washington, District of Colombia. Established in 1846, the endowment's primary objective is to generate sufficient returns over the long term and to maintain spending without depleting the real value of its assets. The assets of the endowment are managed by the board of regents.
