Rio Tinto America Retirement Plan is a single-employer, noncontributory defined benefit corporate pension based in South Jordan, Utah. Established in 1999, the plan covers substantially all salaried and non-represented hourly US employees of subsidiaries and affiliates of Rio Tinto, a British-Australian multinational metals and mining corporation. State Street Bank serves as the trustee of the plan. The assets of the plan are administered by the executive management team.
