Private Equity Investor (PEI) was a Direct Investment based in London, United Kingdom. Established in 2000, the firm provided investors with an opportunity to participate in specialized, technology-oriented venture capital and buyout funds in the United States. It used to invest in the funds of companies who in turn invested in technology-oriented companies in the United States that ranged from an early stage, growth, pre-IPO, and public companies. It used to targets technology sector funds including include social media, e-commerce, software, technology-related services, communications, components, clean technologies, energy-related technologies, and health care technologies. As of 2016, PEI has been acquired by Kline Hill Strategic 2 and the firm is no longer actively tracked by PitchBook.
