Northern Kentucky University Foundation (NKU Foundation) manages an endowment fund based in Newport, Kentucky. Established in 1970, the mission of the foundation is to secure, invest, steward, and distribute private resources in support of Northern Kentucky University, to advocate for the university's best interests, and to build lasting relationships with alumni and friends. The long-term goals of the foundation endowment pool focus on investing to achieve consistent growth while managing annual spending, inflation, and administrative fees. The endowment fund provides funding for instruction, research, public service, academic support, institutional support, university facilities and equipment, and student financial aid. The assets are managed by the executive management team.
