National Research Foundation Singapore

National Research Foundation Singapore is a government agency based in Singapore. Established in 2006, the agency is a department within the Prime Minister's office and operated by the Government of Singapore. The agency sets the national direction for research and development (R&D) by developing policies, plans, and strategies for research, innovation, and enterprise. The agency also funds strategic initiatives and builds up R&D capabilities by nurturing research talent. The agency aims to transform Singapore into a vibrant R&D hub that contributes toward a knowledge-intensive, innovative, and entrepreneurial economy and makes Singapore a magnet for excellence in science and innovation. The assets are managed by the board of directors.
