Municipal Employees Retirement System of Louisiana

Municipal Employees' Retirement System of Louisiana (MERSLA) is a multi-employer defined benefit public pension fund based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Established in 1955, the fund provides retirement benefits to the employees of the municipalities of the state. It provides benefits to employees of all incorporated villages, towns, and cities within the state of Louisiana that do not have their retirement system. The assets of the fund are governed and managed by the board of trustees.
