Metlife Investors Insurance Company was an insurance company based in New York, New York. On November 14, 2014 the names of MetLife Insurance Company of Connecticut (MetLife of Connecticut), MetLife Investors USA Insurance Company and MetLife Investors Insurance Company (MetLife Investors) were changed to MetLife Insurance Company USA. Founded in 1981, the firm provided life, accident and health insurance coverage. As a result, MetLife of Connecticut and MetLife Investors are no longer separate insurance companies and all of their obligations have become obligations of MetLife Insurance Company USA.
