Local Initiatives Support Corporation is an independent non-profit foundation based in New York City, New York. Established in 1979, the foundation works to transform distressed neighborhoods into healthy and sustainable communities. It provides loans, grants, equity investments, local and national policy support, and technical and management assistance to local community development organizations.
