Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa

The Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa (IDC) is an economic development agency based in Sandton, South Africa. Established in 1940, IDC is a self-financing, self-sustaining, state-owned national development finance institution whose primary objective is to contribute to the generation of balanced, sustainable economic growth in Africa and to the economic empowerment of the South African population, thereby promoting the economic prosperity of all citizens. The assets of the firm are managed by the board of directors.
