German Society for International Cooperation
German Society for International Cooperation is a government agency based in Bonn, Germany. Established in 2011, GIZ is the result of a merger between the Deutscher Entwicklungsdienst (DED) gGmbH, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH, and InWEnt - Internationale Weiterbildung und Entwicklung gGmbH (Capacity Building International, Germany). On behalf of the German Government and its international partners, GIZ works around the globe to shape a future worth living. GIZ serves as a cooperation partner for actors from the fields of politics, business, science, and civil society. The assets are managed by the board of trustees.
