General Electric Asset Management (GEAM) was a money management firm based in Stamford, Connecticut. Established in 1920, the firm specialized in leveraged acquisitions, corporate buyouts and growth equity investments. the firm used to provide its services to investment companies, pension and profit sharing plans, pooled investment vehicles, charitable organizations, and insurance companies. The assets of the firm were managed by the board of directors. The firm has acquired by State Street Global Advisor, an investment arm of State Street Corporation.
