Gates Capital Partners (GCP) is a wealth management firm based in Denver, Colorado. Established in 2005, it is a subsidiary of Gates Capital Management. The firm provides support for the growth of private companies by investing with investment managers. While the majority of private equity investments are with venture capital and buyout managers, GCP also invests in other categories including distressed debt and secondaries. The firm seeks exposure primarily to North America, but also to developed and emerging international markets. Governed by its own experienced board of managers, GCP is dedicated to serving only Gates family trusts, family members, and affiliates. The assets are managed by the board of managers.
