Foundation For Child Development

Foundation For Child Development (FCD) is an independent non-profit family foundation based in New York, New York. Established in 1900, the foundation seeks to understand children, particularly the disadvantaged child, and to promote their well-being. The foundation operates with a mission to harness the power of research to ensure that all children benefit from early learning experiences that affirm their individual, family, and community assets, fortify them against harmful consequences arising from economic instability and social exclusion, and strengthen their developmental potential. The assets of the foundation are managed and governed by the board of directors.
