Employees Pension Plan of Battelle Memorial Institute

Employees Pension Plan of Battelle Memorial Institute was a single-employer defined benefit corporate pension based in Columbus, Ohio. Established in 1941, the plan provided retirement and pension benefits to the employees of Battelle Memorial Institute, a private nonprofit applied science, and technology development company. The Battelle Pension Management and Investment Council was appointed by the Battelle board of directors and was responsible for the investments of the plan assets and the selection of the investment managers, custodians, and trustees of the assets. The assets were managed by the executive management team. Effective June 30, 2022, the Plan was merged with and into The 2017 Employees' Pension Plan of Battelle Memorial Institute and ceased to be a separate plan.
