CITIC Financial Asset Management is a government agency based in Beijing, China. Established in 1999, the agency has three segments. Its distressed asset management segment includes policy-related DES asset management business based on commercial buy-out of the company, special situations investments business, distressed asset-based property development business, as well as market-oriented DES business of the group. The financial services segment includes securities and futures business, financial leasing business, banking services business, and consumer finance business. The asset management and investment segment includes trust business, private equity funds business, international business, and other businesses. It derives the majority of its revenues through its distressed asset management services. The assets are managed by the executive management team.
