
China Investment Corporation
China Investment Corporation (CIC) is a sovereign wealth fund based in Beijing, China. Established in 2007, the fund acts as a vehicle to diversify China's foreign exchange holdings. The fund invests in a variety of asset classes which include direct investments, institutional real estate, and infrastructure. CIC pursues overseas investments through its subsidiaries CIC International and CIC Capital. Domestic investments are pursued through its subsidiary Central Huijin. The purpose of the fund is to achieve diversified investment in national foreign exchange funds, maximize shareholder equity within acceptable risk, and serve the national macroeconomic development and the need to deepen financial system reform. The assets are managed and administered by the board members.
