Capital Bank Financial

Capital Bank Financial (Capital Bank) was a banking institution based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Established in 2009, the objective of the bank was to create a regional banking franchise in the southeastern United States through organic growth and acquisitions of other banks, including failed, underperforming and undercapitalized banks. The assets of the bank were managed and governed by the board of directors. The company was acquired by First Horizon National on November 30, 2017.
