Bpifrance

Founded in 2012, Bpifrance is a sovereign wealth fund based in Paris, France. The firm is the PE GP of the French sovereign fund BPIFrance, which invests generally in global companies with French interests, as an active investor with meaningful governance rights as a co-sponsor, inter alia, via Small Cap, Mid Cap, and Large Cap Private Equity Funds. In addition to its own balance sheet, it manages third-party LP interests, including those from international institutions, pension funds, endowments, fund-of-funds, corporates, and large families. Its current split is approx. between US$30B in buyout equity investments as a GP, US$20B as a fund-of-funds manager in some 700 funds, and $10B in direct VC investments.
