Boston Retirement System is a public pension fund based in Boston, Massachusetts. Established in 1923, the fund is a cost-sharing, multiple-employer qualified defined benefit governmental pension plan that provides pension benefits for participating employees of the City of Boston, as well as the autonomous agencies, including the Boston Redevelopment Agency, the Boston Housing Authority, the Boston Public Health Commission, and the Boston Water and Sewer Commission.
