Allison Ventures is a private investment firm based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Established in 2024, the firm operates as a venture capital arm of Allison Transmission. It strategically invests in, and partners with, start-up and growth-stage companies to foster advancements in commercial-duty mobility and work solutions. It is not a separate investment fund but is embedded within Allison's corporate team. Its initial areas of interest include new technologies and business model innovations related to connectivity, digitization, automation, sustainability, electrification, manufacturing, and operations within the commercial and defense vehicle industry. The firm will focus on early and growth-stage start-ups throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Investments are targeted between $1-5 million each, with provisions for follow-on investment. The assets of the firm are managed by the executive management team.
