Alabama Power Foundation

Alabama Power Foundation is a company-sponsored foundation based in Birmingham, Alabama. Established in 1989, it is a foundation with an investment by Alabama Power shareholders. Its mission is to strengthen and spur additional growth in communities across the state of Alabama. Shortly after the foundation was founded, its assets grew quickly as a result of a land sale that led to the creation of the Little River Canyon National Preserve in northeastern Alabama. The assets of the foundation are managed by the board of directors.
