Aga Khan Foundation

Aga Khan Foundation is an independent non-profit foundation based in Washington, District of Columbia. Established in 1981, the foundation's mission is to develop and promote creative solutions to problems that impede social development, primarily in Asia and East Africa. The foundation focuses on a small number of specific development problems by forming intellectual and financial partnerships with organizations sharing its objectives. AKF USA is a part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). The assets are managed by the board of directors.
