He graduated from Princeton University's School of Public Policy and International Affairs, where his independent research focused on the intelligence community, Mideast politics, and cybersecurity. At Princeton, he was a senior columnist with the Daily Princetonian. He currently sits as a Board of Trustees member at the Institute for National Strategic Studies and is a Kauffman Fellow and member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He manages his own investments.
