Swedfund International

Swedfund International is a government agency based in Stockholm, Sweden. Established in 1979, the agency specializes in complex, high-risk investment environments. The agency offers equity, loans, and expertise for investments in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. The agency also offers financial support to small and medium-sized Swedish enterprises in the form of depreciation loans for investment in knowledge transfer and equipment. The agency is wholly owned by the Swedish government, and reports to the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs Department for Management and Methods in Development Collaboration (MFA-USTYR). The assets are managed by the executive management team.
