Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries (BDIO) is an economic development agency based in Brussels, Belgium. Established in 2001, the agency supports the private sector in developing and emerging countries, to enable them to gain access to growth and sustainable development to achieve the Millennium development goals. BDIO invests directly in private sector projects and as such makes a structural contribution to the socio-economic growth of those host countries. Its mandate requires criteria in terms of geographical targets, financing tools, and above all, impact on development. The assets of the agency are managed by the executive management team.
